WordPress v2.7 released with brand-new interface!
WordPress released v2.7 at Dec.11. The code name of 2.7 is “Coltrane”. It’s a major release with a lot of upgrades and changes, particularly at the User Interface (UI). I have been using the beta versions of 2.7 for a few weeks. The UI of the new version is really very impressive, straightforward, easy to follow.
Another benefit of the new version is the automatic “upgrade” functionality, ie. you don’t need to download the newer version and upload to your wordpress and unzip it and activate it. What you need to do within 2.7 is just t0 click the “upgrade” under “Tools” tab. It helps ease the maintenance of WordPress greatly. Really a big good news!
At the same time, Simplifed Chinese version of v2.7 was released at almost the same time.
